Connecting with love with the soul of your dog, their authentic energy and love shines through the images I create

Your dog’s unique character and soul shines through the images I capture as a dog photographer in Shropshire, making beautiful and lasting keepsakes of the very special being in your life. Imagine having a stunning piece of wall art or an album with their love and character shining out at you always!

I come from a background of animal communication and holistic therapies and have a deep connection with animals. I am calm and patient and put your animal’s safety and happiness first and I can help your animal to relax and understand what I am doing when I point the big black eye at them, which in turn makes for better images with lovely, happy faces and allows their character to come through without worry and stress.

My passion is and always has been listening to animals and seeing that they are valued.

I also love to capture the special bond and connection that you and your dog have.

I live near Tenbury Wells in South Shropshire near the borders of Worcestershire and Herefordshire in the UK. I have four locations around that I use but I can also come to somewhere that is special and means something to you.

“Victoria was an incredibly professional photographer, which reflects in the quality of her work. She had planned a thorough route based on our wishes and outcomes for the photos. Our dog, Shelby, absolutely loved her as she is so kind with the dogs and puts their needs first. We had a wonderful time with Victoria and the photographs as a result were beautiful!”

Frequently asked questions

Dogs don’t have to be well trained or off lead to have successful photo sessions. Dog poses are great and I love doing them but I also really love showing your dog as he or she really is – hyper, bouncy, active, curious, playful, happy, smiling, goofy, tail-wagging, doing their own unique things – the things that mean the most to you and connect you and your dog together.

If your dog needs to be on a lead all of the time or some of the time, this is absolutely fine. I will teach you how to hold the lead for optimum removal in post-processing so that you won’t know it was there. We can still get some great poses and even some action shots with your dog on a lead.

If you have a nervous dog, this is no problem at all. I have all the time and patience and calm to help relax and reassure your dog. I also come from a background of zoopharmacognosy (offering animals essential oils), flower essences and animal communication so can help your dog immensely with feeling more confident. If I know I will be working with a nervous dog – and I ask lots of questions before the session – I can bring an essential oil or two to offer to your dog (their choice) to help on the day, in addition to my calming energy and patience and care.
I love helping nervous or anxious dogs.

I have several locations to choose from but I am very happy to come to a location of your choice that means something to you. My locations include such unique places as Kyre Park Garden, Ludlow Castle and the River Teme, Wapley Hill woods and hill fort and High Hawkwood woods (this is private land where I live).

Sessions usually last between 90 and 120 minutes but I never rush, it takes as long as it takes and I want you and your dog to be happy and relaxed. I take the time to make sure everything is safe for your dog and that your dog is not stressed, this is my first priority. My second priority is that they enjoy the session. My third is that you love your images!

I am always fascinated by the connections we have with our pets and I love to capture this in some images if you wish. If you want the connection in the images but not your face we can do this in very many ways such as you being out of focus behind your dog, or showing your dog between your legs, or walking together from behind, or your dog looking at you with the emphasis on his or her face… and so many more options.

Come to me to view your gallery in person and look at the samples of wall art on display in my home so you can visualise your images in your home on your walls as they would come for you from the professional print lab that I use. Alternatively I can provide a link to an online gallery on my website which is only available to those with the link to it if you prefer but I like to see you face to face and talk to you about the images and any options for displaying that you would like.

“I found Victoria to be extremely professional and had a very calm manner which in turn had a positive effect on Ben, bringing out the best in him. She took the time to see Ben’s surroundings and get to know his mannerisms in preparation for the photos. The photographs she produced were exceptional and really captured Ben and his character. I am very grateful and would highly recommend.”

“Victoria has taken stunning photographs of my young dog Mallie recently, capturing her in a way I haven’t been able to. Showing all at the same time her cheekiness, intelligence and beauty, all the things that make up the character I’m so used to and love. Victoria’s expertise, knowledge and passion for photography together with her natural affinity with animals shines through when she’s working, making her a highly gifted animal photographer!”

About Me

I am interested in your dog, I care about them, who they are, how they are, what they do, how they behave, how they teach us to love. I see into their soul. With a heart connection I see their magic, which passes from them through the lens of my camera and into my heart, pouring out to create beautiful images of your dog.

I am a member of Unleashed Education and the Inspawration Learning Journey, specialist pet photography learning platforms and communities. I am an animal communicator, energy healer and as part of being an Animal PsychAromatica zoopharmacognosist I have studied stress and behaviour in addition to the healing by self-selection essential oils and hydrosols. I have a very calming energy to help reassure dogs and make them feel more relaxed and comfortable.

I volunteer at Birch Hill Dog Rescue photographing dogs for adoption and offering essential oils for their recovery and well-being, and am owned by three wonderful Romanian rescue dogs.

I love nature and flowers and I feel they make perfect companions and backdrops in my photographs of your dogs, to see them supported by nature and flowers is important to me. I use the energy of flowers in remote energy healings – Flower Energetics – and love to bring in the energy of the flowers to your dogs in their images. Flower energy is very gentle but very powerful and transformational.

I adore senior dogs, they have such stories to tell and character in their faces and actions, and such wisdom. I have learnt a lot about grief over my life and having recently had one of my dogs pass away and taking some end of life images of her in the days before she died – which I really treasure so much – I am available for end of life photo sessions for your dog along with compassion and understanding for you both.

Before And After

Too often my clients tell me they love the images they see on my website and social media but that they worry their dog won’t stay still or has to be on a lead and they won’t get the same results.

That’s what I’m here for! It’s MY job to get that shot, not yours!

And, believe me, I’ll get that shot of your dog and you’ll love it!

Here’s how I do it…

Getting to know your dog

I get to know your dog and what he or she is comfortable with, you will be close by and if your dog needs to be on a lead that is perfectly fine! I ask you to hold the lead straight up and stand as far to the side as possible. If this is not possible and you need to stand closer to your dog I can take a clean shot without you or your dog in it so that I can remove you and the lead from the photo using masking in post-processing.

Safety and Patience

Putting your dog on something if it is safe to do so and he or she is happy does help to keep them in place at least for a few seconds.

Treats help and I have a lot of patience and never rush your dog (or you) into a pose.

Your dog’s safety and happiness comes first!

Your dog can do it too!

If you’ve been checking out my work thinking you could never end up with images like that then STOP.

Check out the before and after images below and you will know you can and you will.

If you choose me.

So let’s have a (totally non-salesy) chat!

“After over a year of shielding, during which we were fortunate enough to re-home a Romanian rescue, my dear friend Victoria came to see me on Tuesday. Our dog Roxy has had little to no socialisation with either human or dog contact so when Victoria contacted me to ask to take some portraits of her, I was a little nervous how Roxy would be. I really did not need to worry, Victoria was so professional, caring and intuitive, most of the time I didn’t realise she was taking any photos! She was amazing with Roxy, who by the end of our walk was great friends and started to pose for the camera! I can highly recommend Victoria if you are thinking of having a portrait of your pets, the photos are incredible, so sharp and natural, we love them ”
